Thank you for that Gus! I remember there once was a great site with many pics of a man on NxStage called www.ilovenxstage.com but it seems to no longer exist. I am glad that NxStage is expending outside of the USA now. Wish it would come to Canada!

Ah yes, Ilovenxstage.com was Bill "Epoman" Halcomb from ihatedialysis.com, sadly after he passed that site closed down, but his forums and followers still run the forums.

I firmly believe that it will expand to other markets, but like all things it takes time. However I have a gut feeling that Canada is partnering with other companies providing home dialysis equipment, who could it be? I don't know but there are some competitors out there......

Hello Jester,

thats a nice looking machine and sure is nice that competition is now growing. Because Nxstage has taken some markets I wonder whether other competitors are allowed into those same markets that Nxstage is in. For example, clinics offering not just Nxstage but other home friendly machines as well...

Darn good question Gus....have no idea fella... do know that the competition can't help but provide the patient with more options...and that can't be all that bad

Dialysis and Kidney Disease is big bussiness...but that's not news...

Gus...have tried many time to pry information from NxStage.... not one response....but I do have a fellow on Facebook to whom I can go too now...he's a guy that happened to grow up in my home town here in Canada...and works with Nxstage

What I do know is that Health Canada did approve NxStage in 2005 so what's the hold up...beats me....maybe a few more decades of "studies" and that burns my butt....

Have come to the conclusion that a hand full of politicians ( as a mandate) need to spend about a month in the shoe's of a dialysis patient before things get done...hmmmmm have a few in mind....like every health minister in Canada
